Alex D.
Alex Durrin, salon owner and lead stylist at Alexandra’s On Second, is an animal lover, chip and salsa enthusiast, an aunt, sister, and a great friend who brings passion and expertise to everything she does. IBE certified for Hand-Tied Extensions and known for her stunning lived-in blondes, Alex has been making hair dreams a reality since she opened the salon in 2016. Before pursuing cosmetology at Gene Juarez, she worked as a barista—so she’s always been all about creating special experiences for people. Her favorite part of the job? The amazing clients she gets to see every day and the fun, relaxing vibe of her salon, which she fondly calls her "hair family."
Alex stays ahead of the latest trends, constantly continuing her education and finding new favorite products—right now, it’s Lanza Brush Through Hairspray for those effortless, lived-in looks! In her free time, she loves spending time with family, and if she’s picking the music for the day, expect some TLC jams. Fun fact: if she hadn’t become a stylist, she was set on becoming a famous pop music star!

Joe
Joe has been mastering the art of hair since 2007, though it wasn’t something he initially planned for himself. Over the years, he’s built an impressive career—from teaching at a beauty school to traveling as an educator for a top beauty brand, owning his own salon, and now thriving as a salon consultant.
With a deep understanding of color formulation, Joe specializes in creating customized color that perfectly suits each guest. His goal? To make sure your color still turns heads weeks after your appointment! His favorite styling product is KMS AddVolume Styling Foam, a must-have for creating incredible body and fullness on any hair type.
Outside the salon, Joe channels his creativity into sewing and quilting—proof that his artistic talents know no bounds!

Katie F.
Meet our stylist Katie Finch, a true artist when it comes to short hair! With a background that includes a family history in barbering—her grandfather was a barber—she brings expertise in men's cuts, pixies, razor cuts, and all things textured and shaggy. A Redken specialist, she’s been creating gorgeous styles since 2004, starting in a barber shop from 2005 to 2010, moving on to another Yakima salon until 2017, and now sharing her passion with us at Alexandra's On Second. She loves crafting natural, lived-in hair color and believes the best part of her job is the people she gets to see every day, in a fun and relaxing environment.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her outdoors—playing in her yard, gardening, camping, and enjoying time with family. And, if she’s picking the salon playlist, get ready for some Bruno Mars vibes!

Ann
Ann became a stylist because she loved the idea of not only making women look good, but even more importantly, helping them feel confident and beautiful. For her, getting paid is just a bonus! In the industry since 1986, Ann is Brazilian Blowout certified and specializes in customized hair color tailored specifically to her guests’ needs. Her favorite service? Soft, dimensional color and, of course, Brazilian Blowouts.
At Alexandra’s, she adores working with such an amazing team, and her must-have product is Lanza Healing Oil. A fun fact? Ann loves her pups as much as anything in the world! And if she’s picking the salon playlist, expect some serious 80s and 90s vibes!

Maria
Maria brings 10 years of hairstyling expertise to the team, with certifications as a Redken and Matrix color specialist, Volume Lash technician, and Invisible Bead Extension artist. Her journey began at just 15 years old after a life-changing visit to a cozy salon in LA—an experience that sparked her passion for making people feel beautiful and confident. Before pursuing her hairstyling career, Maria spent five years working in assisted living, a role that taught her the importance of connection and care.
What Maria loves most about working at the salon is the amazing salon family and the positive, welcoming environment we’ve built together. She’s always staying on top of the latest trends and continuing her education to offer her clients fresh, modern styles that fit their unique needs.
Maria’s favorite hair product we carry? Olaplex Dry Shampoo, for that perfect balance of volume and freshness.
Outside of hairstyling, Maria’s all about staying active—she’s dedicated to CrossFit and competes in CrossFit competitions. You’ll often find her at the 5 a.m. class Monday through Friday, sometimes even on Saturdays! When it comes to salon vibes, Maria’s go-to music station is Pitbull Radio, keeping the energy high with Latin or reggaeton beats.

Idalia
Idalia knew she wanted to be a hairstylist since elementary school, always experimenting with vivid colors on her own hair. Her passion for creativity led her to specialize in color services, with a particular love for lightening techniques. She enjoys the versatility that lightening offers, creating endless looks with a variety of beautiful tones.
Idalia’s favorite product is Lanza Zero Weight Gel, which gives her clients the perfect balance of hold and flexibility, all while keeping the hair light and full of movement.
Outside of the salon, Idalia is a proud Dog Mom to four Siberian Huskies, who keep her on her toes and bring endless joy to her life. She wouldn’t trade her furry family for anything!

Molly
Molly has been making hair dreams come true since 2009, starting her journey at Belu Salon before joining the Alexandra’s family in 2020. She specializes in precision haircuts, from curly haircuts to specialized short cuts, and is also known for her expert foiling and lived-in color techniques.
What Molly loves most about hairstyling is creating personalized looks that perfectly suit each guest’s personality and lifestyle.
Outside of the salon, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially during their summer camping trips. If Molly’s in charge of the music for the day, expect to hear some good ol’ 90s country tunes.

Katie M.
Katie thought her path was in the medical field, but she soon realized her true calling was helping people feel amazing in a completely different way—as a stylist! She’s passionate about seeing her guests leave the salon feeling like the best versions of themselves. Specializing in blonding, Brazilian Blowouts, and IBE Certified Hand-Tied Extensions, Katie brings expertise and fun to every appointment. She’s been doing Brazilian Blowouts and Invisible Bead Extensions for four years, and she’s never looking back! At Alexandra's, Katie says it feels like family, and her go-to hair product? Lanza Healing Oil, of course!
Fun fact: Katie’s a Rattlesnake bite survivor! Outside the salon, she’s all about being the best dog mom, and if she’s picking the playlist, expect some country tunes to fill the air!

Haley
Haley Lantz knew from a young age that she wanted to be in the hair industry—her hairstylist growing up was her absolute hero and inspiration! After studying at Paul Mitchell, Haley has spent the last eight years perfecting her craft, with five of those years at Alexandra’s. She specializes in grey coverage, blending, and all-over color, and she’s always taking classes to stay on top of the latest trends and techniques. Haley loves the happy, welcoming vibe at the salon and adores her coworkers. Right now, she’s obsessed with Lanza Texture Spray to add that perfect finish to any style.
When she’s not behind the chair, Haley enjoys being a mom, spending time with friends and family, and soaking up the sun on the beach—which is her ultimate happy place! And if she’s choosing the music for the day, expect some Maroon 5 radio to keep the good vibes going!

Karlie
Karlie, our waxing specialist and esthetician, has been in the beauty industry since 2023, bringing a passion for self-care and maintenance to everything she does. Her love for helping family and friends with their beauty routines naturally led her to pursue a career in esthetics, and she's now a certified Brazilian wax specialist. Before becoming our waxing specialist, Karlie worked at a coffee stand, and in a front desk role at our salon, but her heart has always been in making people feel their best. She specializes in Brazilians, which is hands down her favorite service to perform. What Karlie loves most about working at Alexandra’s is the strong sense of community and the culture Alex has created—a place she’s proud to call home.
Her favorite esthetics product? Fur Oil, of course! It’s a natural, nourishing product that helps soothe and hydrate your skin post-waxing.
When she’s not working, Karlie is jamming out with her band, XYZ and the Boomers, practicing weekly and playing gigs on weekends. If Karlie picks the music for the day, expect to hear some rock/metal vibes to keep the energy up and the mood just right!

Vanessa
Vanessa has been the heart and soul of our front desk since 2022, always greeting you with a warm, friendly voice and happy to answer all of your questions. She coordinates the girls’ schedules with ease, ensuring that she can set you up with the perfect stylist for your needs. With a background in the medical field, Vanessa brings exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She truly loves being a part of the Alexandra's family, where we treat each other like sisters. The supportive, loving atmosphere here makes every day at the salon feel even more rewarding.
Vanessa’s favorite product? Lanza KHO Oil, which works wonders for her blonding routine, keeping her hair nourished, shiny, and vibrant. And when it’s time to choose the salon jams, she’s all about throwback 90s R&B and hip-hop vibes to keep the mood just right.

Jessica
Jessica has been a hairstylist for 14 years, with a deep-rooted passion for the industry that runs in her family. Growing up, her grandmother was a stylist, and her mom, who began beauty school before starting a family, was a huge influence on her career path. Jessica's journey began at Hairmasters and later brought her to Belu Salon before joining the Alexandra's On Second team.
Her specialty? Cutting—she loves the art of crafting the perfect cut to suit each individual. What she enjoys most about working here is the salon family and the welcoming, supportive vibe we all share. Jessica’s favorite product from our line is Lanza, which helps her create the best results for every client.
When she’s not behind the chair, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and fur babies, traveling when she can, and staying active with health and fitness activities, especially in the summer. If she’s picking the salon jams, expect 90s alternative music to keep the energy just right.

Melanie
Melanie joined our team in 2023 and has been in the hairstyling industry for 25 years. Her love for glam and creativity sparked her passion for hairstyling at a young age, and she’s been dedicated to making hair beautiful ever since. Melanie’s specialties include giving the perfect blowout and creating sharp, stylish cuts, both of which she loves to perfect for every client.
What she enjoys most about working at Alexandra’s is, quite simply, everything—the community, the vibe, and the team. Her go-to product from our collection is Lanza Curl Leave-In Conditioner, which helps her create beautiful, healthy curls.
Outside of hairstyling, Melanie loves to read and play games. When it comes melanie picking the salon music, you can expect to hear classic rock—perfect for a sing-along no matter the generation!

Katy B.
Katy has been with us at Alexandra's since 2023 and is our talented skincare specialist with 4 years of experience. As an Acne Specialist, DMK Skin Revisionist, and Licensed Esthetician Instructor, Katy blends relaxation with results-driven skincare, focusing on acne, age management, and lash lifts.
Before joining our team, Katy worked at a Day Spa, bringing that sense of tranquility to her treatments here at Alexandra’s. What she loves most about working at the salon is the upbeat and fun atmosphere created by our amazing team and wonderful clients. Her go-to skincare product is Melanotech Drops by DMK, which helps brighten and rejuvenate skin.
Outside of her esthetician role, Katy enjoys evening walks with her hubby. And if she’s choosing the music, you’ll catch some early 2000 hits or SZA radio playing to set the perfect vibe!

Mckenna
McKenna is a talented stylist who joined us fresh out of Paul Mitchell the School in Richland, where she earned her Cosmetology certification. While still in the beginning of her career as a stylist, McKenna has quickly become a vital part of the team, known for her creativity and passion for making people feel beautiful.
Growing up, McKenna always enjoyed styling her friends and family’s hair, which sparked her interest in pursuing cosmetology. She's still discovering her favorite areas but loves doing a bit of everything, with lived-in colors being a personal favorite. McKenna is passionate about working at Alexandra’s because of the commitment to exceptional service and constant growth within the team. She loves the community atmosphere and the support of a team that's always striving to improve.

Outside of hairstyling, McKenna enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, Thor, and hanging out with her friends and family. When it comes to picking the music for the day, expect some Country or Morgan Wallen radio to keep the vibe just right!

Atarashii Apprentice Program
Grace has always had a passion for doing hair and is just a few months away from completing her apprenticeship. She started with us in March 2023 and has quickly become a fan of lived-in color, especially creating beautiful blondes. She's also been honing her Hand-Tied Extension skills to offer even more versatile services.
When Grace isn't creating beautiful hair, she loves spending time with her loved ones at Cannon Beach or catching a live music concert. Her positive energy and passion for beauty make her a great addition to the team!
When it comes to music, Grace is all about the country vibes, with Luke Bryan and Jelly Roll being her go-to artists for the day. If you're ever in the salon when she's picking the jams, you're in for a fun ride!

Atarashii Apprentice Program
Meet Delanie (or Lanie), one of our talented apprentices at Alexandra's on Second! With a natural passion for hairstyling, Delanie was inspired by her mom, who always saw her thriving in the hair industry. After initially pursuing a different path, Delanie decided to follow her mom’s advice, and she’s never looked back! She’s been in the industry for almost a year now and is loving every moment of it.
Currently certified in Brazilian Blowouts, one of her favorite services to perform, Delanie is still exploring all the exciting aspects of the hairstyling world. Her interests include blonding, Brazilian Blowouts, and creating multi-dimensional color looks. As she continues to develop her skills, Delanie is eager to try everything the career has to offer.
What she loves most about working at Alexandra's is the welcoming, family-like atmosphere. She never thought she’d look forward to going to work every day, but here at the salon, she loves seeing the beautiful faces of both clients and coworkers alike.
When she’s not at the salon, you’ll find Delanie going on evening walks with her dog or enjoying the winter months cross-country skiing with her family. And when it comes to salon music, Delanie is all about 2000s R&B to keep the vibe just right!
